What an amazing day! The Ghana International School (GIS) students donated almost GHC 25, 800. to the Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana! A big thank you to the students especially the Infants and Junior sections of the school as well as their parents for coming together to make this very generous donation.

Under Mrs. Ocansey’s leadership her team of teachers are wonderful in that they encourage, motivate and remind the students of the impact of their donations on the live of those who are less fortunate. Their Community service and great team spirit is the force behind their continued support to The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana.

Ghana International School had sponsored 8 year old Jamilatu who has ‘hole in heart’ condition. They did such a wonderful job saving their pocket money, asking Mom and Dad for contributions that their efforts will actually pay for 2 children who are suffering from congenital heart conditions!!!!! And they did this in just under 2 months. How fantastic is that!!!!
When Jamilatu was asked how she felt knowing the funds for her operation and that of another child was raised by the students at GIS she shyly but clearly said “I am very happy”.
