For over 13 years the Children’s Heart foundation Ghana (CHF) has been raising funds to pay for the surgeries of Ghanaian children who have a congenital heart condition and need open heart surgery. Over the period, we have raised USD 2,128,000.00 which translates to GHS13,065,920.00 and paid for the surgeries of 266 children! That is over 266 families who have not had to be stressed about finding the approx. GH30,000 to pay for their child’s heart surgery. That’s 209 families whose entire life has improved because their child after surgery can now live a happy and productive life and the family is not saddled with huge medical bills.
