The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana (CHF Ghana) invites all on another voyage of fantasy. After unleashing the glitz and glamour of Hollywood upon Accra last year, The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana this year, summon the magic of the golden sand dunes of Arabia with this “Arabian Nights” themed ball. As we ride on camel back and entre the sweet scented tents; as we take in all the treasures and delights of the desert; as we settle into the comfortable cushions, we are reminded by the President of the Foundation that “Many congenital heart defects can be repaired with just one surgical intervention, while others require staged repairs.” Knowing this, let us continue to help and support their noble cause.

We are also informed that The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana is approaching its “fifth year anniversary,” and in this time, the foundation has so far, had “the privilege of paying for open-heart surgeries for fifty children.” Whilst celebrating these feats, CHF Ghana acknowledges the contribution of partner organizations and institutions. The efforts of the Ghana International School are lauded. Amongst the narrations of gratitude, we can read the heartfelt praise of a relieved father of one of the beneficiary children. His appreciation is echoed in his letter herein reproduced. A few words are borrowed from him:  “God shall continue to bless the foundation and, indeed all the people who help to push along the wheels of the foundation. Mankind owes all of you tons of appreciation. Thank you once again.” As part of their quest to continue creating awareness, The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana also presents some facts about the condition known as: “ATRIAL SEPTAL DEFECT.” The usual culinary adventure takes us to the Mediterranean, where we are presented with the recipe for a tantalizing fish stew with garlic toasts.

What more can you ask for? Please, relax and enjoy all that is in store for you and whilst at it, keep a heart-beat for all those lovely children who look up to you for hope and support.
