For 10 years, the trustees of the Children’s Heart foundation Ghana (CHF) has been raising funds to pay for the surgeries of Ghanaian children who have a congenital heart condition and need open heart surgery. Since 2009, we have raised over Ten million new Ghana cedi (Gh10, 000,000), and paid the surgeries of 150 children! That is over 150 families who have not had to be stressed about finding the approx. GH 43,200 to pay for their child’s heart surgery. That’s 150 families whose entire life has improved because their child after surgery can now live a happy and productive life and the family is not saddled with huge debts.

The Children’s Hearts Foundation Ghana, is committed to providing financial assistance to some of the approximately two hundred (200) Ghanaian families a year who find themselves in the very stressful and difficult position of trying to save the life of their child diagnosed with a congenital heart condition.

The Trustees of The Children’s Heart Foundation Ghana – Mrs. Jacqui Ahomka Lindsay, Mrs. Surama King, Ms, Folake Ojo, Mrs. Dzborgdi Dosoo, Mrs. Grace Krobo-Edusei, and Mrs. Karen Hendrickson; have all been actively and publicly involved in raising the funds needed to pay for the surgeries on behalf of parents who cannot afford the life-saving surgery for their sick children.

After a very successful fund-raising Ball held on 18th May 2019, CHF Ghana is today able to pay for the surgeries of 22 children thanks to our generous corporate and private donors who have donated to our worthy cause. The parents and children here today at Korle Bu Cardiothoracic Hospital would like to say two things.
